| In Matrix Online you play a human that has recently been released from the matrix; aka a redpill. As a redpill the first missions you undertake are for the people who saved you from the matrix, the Zionites. After your initial training period however you are free to ally yourself with any of the three factions. Now while it may sound exciting to some to simply turn your back on one faction and begin working for another, it isn't without consequences. NPCs usually don't seem to be very affected by which faction you're working for, because if they did it would make it impossible to double-cross one of them. Other players however are very likely to kill you on sight if you are working for a rival faction. |
