EQ2 Gold: Got the Resources, What Do I Do Now (What Should I Craft)?
| Each crafted material can be crafted in four stages of perfection. These stages have varying names depending upon what type of item is being crafted but they are always 1 of 4 levels. When you are looking at your recipe you will see one or more ingredients in the Primary Slot. The level of this item determines the max level of the item you are attempting to craft. For instance if you only have a level two item in that slot you will only be able to craft a level two item MAX. So it is important to make sure you always (if possible) have a level 4 item in the primary slot in order to craft the best possible level item. Remember; the higher the level of the item you end up producing, the more tradeskill experience you get. The other slots have no bearing on the final level of the item you are crafting. Some crating recipes will produce multiple end products and/or quantities (more on this in the What Did I Get section below). |

| When you have your recipe up while at a workstation you will notice that you can also change your ingredients. If you have multiple levels crafted sub-materials, you will want to make sure the appropriate item has been selected. It's very annoying if you start crafting with the wrong ingredients and realize you won't be making an item at the quality you thought you were. It's a waste of materials and if you have an exact amount of the other resources, you'll be sub-crafting again or running back to the merchant. So double check just to make sure and get ready to start producing. |
